PETROLEUM AND RENEWABLE ENERGY ENGINEERING
Commencing in 2018, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Program (the name was changed to Petroleum and Renewable Energy Engineering in 2023)  is a collaboration between Srinakarinwirot University (SWU), Thailand, and University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, in order to establish the first full international undergraduate degree on Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in Thailand.

This international B.E. program provides a comprehensive curriculum to build a strong foundation for the career in the oil and gas industry, while forward-looking toward broader earth energy resources in the near future.
The course is organized for full-time, four-year, eight-semester with the first two years at Prasanmitr Campus of Srinakarinwirot University in Bangkok and the final two years at the main campus of University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
All modules feature petroleum engineering classes and certainly selected geology lectures in order to cover all the aspects of the industry. The program includes laboratories, field trips, advanced seminars, real industry-simulated projects and communication skills classes.
Regarding SWU, the Faculty of Engineering was established in 1992, and currently administrating seven departments for undergraduate levels (Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering).
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department is the latest academic addendum according to the university’s long-term strategy to embrace the ever-changing world of technology. The Petroleum department was fully set up with the brand-new facilities encompassing the new building H which serves exclusively for lectures, laboratories and research center.
Regarding UNSW, the School of Petroleum Engineering was established in 1985, and is Australia’s longest standing undergraduate and postgraduate petroleum industry training school, serving both Australian and international students. The School offered the first undergraduate degree of its kind in Australia and was the first petroleum engineering course in the world to be accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (London).

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION
Upon graduation, this B.E. program is certified by the Government of Australia and is internationally accredited. Achieving this degree validates your international qualification to the employers for the industry-standard of competency and thus brings opportunities to work worldwide.
